I officiated a wedding this past Saturday evening.
No, I'm not ordained by the internet.
Here, in South Carolina, a Notary Public can marry folks.
The wedding was held at Boone Hall Plantation.
How gorgeous is this?
And get this??!! The bride's name was JUDI.
Spelled right and everything.
The only negatives were the bugs that swarmed my head and body during the entire ceremony.
I wasn't alone though, they were annoying everyone.
I'm just grateful one didn't fly up my nose, or down my throat.
I do love a wedding.
These folks aren't crying. They're swiping at the dang bugs.
Congrats to Ryan and Judi!

so beautiful! how are you connected to them???
Oh, Spanish moss is a favorite. Love it! And who would expect flying critters in South Carolina after Thanksgiving?! Well, I guess it shouldn't be all that surprising.
So beautiful!
Sandie, I am friends with a friend of the bride and groom.
Thanks KB, spanish moss makes everything gorgeous don't you think?
Hello RAHKed! Glad to meet you! Thank you for the kind words.
I am so impressed! Looks like a beautiful place for a wedding.
Boone Hall is beautiful! The bugs were terrible this past weekend. We had Thanksgiving outdoors and everyone was swatting at the noseums....
Wow, how very cool to be able to joint people in matrimony! Who knew you had this lovely "duty!" So nice...
word: emosandu
Is emosandu a kind of dessert or a new type of music those kids today are listening to?
And that would be "join" people, not "joint" them. Sigh...
And BTW: in my Thanksgiving photo, I'm the little Indian in the middle. My husband claims I still smile anytime anyone points a camera in my general direction!
I miss the Spanish moss!! I need a Jekyll Island vaca in the warmth. Sigh...
