July Heat Whine

I hate the heat.

Some might think the word, "hate" is strong.

Nope.  I really hate it.

My body needs to live where the high temperature runs around 75 degrees on its absolute hottest day.

I have no desire for a tan, other than the fact that tan fat is more attractive than pale fat.

I enjoy sunshine, but only for it to take just a tad bit of chill off the day.

So, this July heat and all these record breaking temperatures are making me miserable.

Add that to the peri-menopausal goings on in my body, and I'm a furnace.

I shower all the time.

After showering, I have to lie still and stop sweating from the showering.

Getting in the car at the end of the day is a whole 'nother story.

Sweaty bras.  Sweat rolling down my back.  Buttcrack sweat.

Why oh why am I living in the South?

Even the pool/ocean/river waters are hot.

Are there vacation resorts on icebergs?

Think snow!

I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm "over" the menopausal sweats - for the most part. But when Shadow, that little furnace, decided he has to sleep cuddled up next to me, I get so hot I think I am about to explode. Of course that silly cat is probably cold! Ah - cold weather!

Ugh, the "sweating after a shower" thing--HATE that! I have to say, San Diego is pretty constant in temps--"72 and sunny" (except for May and June when it stays overcast all day). It's rather heavenly, I must say! That being said, everyone always talks about the "paradise tax," meaning it is more expensive to live here. And that is true. Come visit!

It's just as hot up here in the northeast. Right now we are getting a rest from the heat but the weatherperson said another heat wave is coming.

I hate extreme weather. So that means I don't like winter when it is icy cold and plan nasty. I know there is somewhere on this earth where I would be happy but I haven't figured it out yet.

I love you Ju. This post made me spit out my lunch. Thanks for the laughs and I am feeling your pain as my feet swell, my belly grows and my ability to get into comfortable positions and be cool at the same time are diminishing rapidly.
