Ca-Jenna Festival

The folks here in Charleston are big on festivals.  Just this past weekend, we had the Flowertown Festival, the Cooper River Bridge Run, and the Cajun Festival.  These are all big players in the world of festivals, and all are highly attended and enjoyed.

We are not into arts and crafts, so scratch Flowertown.

Run?  Yeah right.

So, the natural choice for us was the one that included food, beer and live music, which meant the Cajun Festival.  Thanks to Jenna for organizing all of us, finding a place to plant our chairs, and answering any and all questions relating to the festival!

Here's some of the highlights of the day:

GORGEOUS 80 degree weather
kids with bubbles

live zydeco music
great people watching
crawfish and alligator

ice cold beer
no bugs
happy people dancing

laughter, giggles and snow cones
sitting on a blanket on the grass
people trying to speak some type of Cajun dialect

funnel cakes
Sonic on the way home
applying the right amount of sunscreen

Y'all DO have a lot of festivals--many more than we do, I think...get your festival on, Lady JuJu!
