I was 23 when I had Jake. That was 23 years ago today.
I was a baby when I had my baby.
I had no idea what I was doing.
This little fella taught me the meaning of unconditional love.
I'll never be able to explain the feeling in my gut about this wonderful boy.
He taught me how to be a mom.
I know it's Jake's birthday, but I'm the one who received the greatest gift.

You may have thought you had no idea what you were doing, but look at those smiles on his face when he was a boy. You were doing everything perfectly.
I have 3 girls. I wanted girls. But I sure wish I had the love of a son.
