Raindrops on Roses

I love going to the mountains.  We've been going there for a long time now.  We go to the same area of Western North Carolina, just outside Bryson City.  We normally rent a cabin named, "Eagles Nest Hideaway."  This time, it was booked, so we went to "Bear Rock Chalet."  (love the names!)

The best part about the mountains is the absolute quiet.  It's still up there.

It's a place where cell phones don't work.  There's no internet.

Entertainment for the day involves tree swings and tree forts and playing in leaves.

We sit in the hot tub and discuss our teen years, our present years, and our future years.

We eat like it's going out of style:  Party Mix, Spinach Dip, PW burgers, Brie, Gouda, BACON, pizzas, Carne Asada, Pico, Little Debbie Snacks, Cold Beer, Vino Verde

Scrabble Games, The Sound of Music (me and Mary and Griff), and Dominoes for the boys.

Watching this little fella.

Just being together.

Absolutely beautiful! Maybe the most beautiful is that you know how blessed you are.
